Job Summary
The Specialist-Delivery Driver adheres to Company policies and acts with integrity under the direct supervision of the Store Management team. Their main responsibility is providing superior Customer service, facilitating efficient sales transactions, and ensuring smooth daily operations with regards to performing deliveries and satisfying Customer needs.

The Specialist-Delivery Driver educates Customers, listens with empathy and shows compassion and understanding while facilitating a successful purchase/transaction.

In adherence to all compliance regulations governing the purchasing and selling of Cannabis and non- Cannabis product, the Specialist-Delivery Driver will partner with the Store Management team in each location to support all facets of policy and procedures and sales floor duties.

Core Responsibilities
Sales & Profitability

• Deliver a positive, friendly experience by engaging the Customer through conversation and exceptional service.
• Enhance the Store environment and atmosphere by focusing on Customer interactions over tasks.
• Exhibit excellence floor presence by following Customer standards, product placement and time management.
• Prioritizes product knowledge as a main component of service and actively engages in all store trainings to ensure continued and ongoing education as it relates to product and service.
• Assists team to uphold Company Customer service standards.
• Enhance the Delivery environment and atmosphere by focusing on Customer interactions over tasks.

People & Teamwork

• Work productively within the team by and take initiative to work with others towards a common, collaborative goal.
• Actively seek out development opportunities to learn and grow.
• Assist in the training and development of peers.

Communication

• Lead with strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Delivery

• Loading, transporting, and delivering items to Customers.
• Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the Customer is satisfied.
• Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles.
• Accepting payments for delivered items.
• Providing excellent Customer service, by answering questions or handling Customer issues.
• Adhering to assigned routes and following shift schedule, including designated meal breaks.
• Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record

Operations

• Assist the team in shipping and receiving process and complete shipment turnaround process, as and when needed.
• Ensure that all tasks are completed and support that all backstock areas are clean and organized.
• Proficient at all point of sales systems and operations to provide a seamless interaction for the customer while maintaining accuracy to adhere to all operational compliance and tasks.
• Ensure compliance with all BCC, State and City regulations.
• Ensure compliance with Company emergency and safety procedures to protect Employees and Customers from accidents and incidents.
• Support Store goals by training in Loss Prevention awareness and overseeing adherence to Loss Prevention practices.
• Must report all driving violations from any state or municipality to store leadership; all vehicle citations are the sole responsibility of the employee..
• Regular attendance and punctuality are essential

Merchandising and Display

• Ensure a neat, clean, and organized Store environment.
• Exhibit excellent knowledge regarding current product and trend awareness.
• Support the Store team by assisting in merchandising and display products as needed.

Qualifications And Experience

• Minimum of 1-year experience in Customer service in a retail environment.
• Minimum of 1-2 years' experience as a Driver in a retail or hospitality environment.
• B.A. preferred, but experience is paramount.
• Experience working in a highly regulated businesses is desirable.
• Uses sound judgment when making decisions.
• Assumes other duties assigned by supervisor.
• Exhibits strong leadership skills amongst peers and have confidence communicating at the Store level.
• Uphold excellent Customer service skills and a service orientated culture.
• Achieve statistical results (sales, shrinkage).
• Previous Delivery experience preferred.
• Previous cannabis experience preferred.
• Must pass a federal background check via Live scan in certain markets.
• Must possess a valid CA Driver's License
• Background check required
• Must be over 21

Work Environment

• This job operates in a professional cannabis Store environment.
• This role routinely uses standard office and Store equipment such as computers, phones, printers, POS.
• This position regularly requires working evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this job the Employee is regularly required to see, talk, and hear.
• While performing the duties of this job the Employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands or feet, reach with hands and arms, and required to lift a min of 50lbs.
• While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to drive a car.

Position Type And Expected Hours Of Work

• This is a part time non-exempt hourly position which reports to the General Manager/Store Management.
• This position can require work on early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
