Construction Lead Installer, Commercial Solar

About the role: Harvest Power is seeking a Lead Installer head up building several new and future rooftop commercial solar projects. In this role, you will work as the lead installer building our ongoing commercial rooftop solar portfolio.

About the company: Harvest Power is a nationally recognized leader in the solar energy industry, providing full service residential and commercial solar energy project management including design, engineering, and installation of solar energy systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as lead installer on commercial rooftop solar projects
  • Assemble and install solar PV systems on commercial building rooftops
  • Schedules logistics and stages equipment on job sites
  • Follows building plans and works with Project Manager to plan and map rooftop installations
  • Installs solar racking systems including roofing penetrations, ballast blocks, rooftop flashing, roof electrical boxes.
  • Installs PV equipment – modules, inverters, communications, PV wiring etc.
  • Daily opening and closing of job site
  • Take deliveries on job site
  • Works with Project Manager to ensure timelines and milestones are achieved
  • Attends inspections with municipalities, utilities, and all 3rd party inspections
  • Ensures timelines and construction milestones are achieved
  • Schedules and orders material for onsite delivery
  • Communicates with field, admin staff, and ownership on ongoing project tasks and needs
  • Continuous improvement of professional competencies

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Professional with very strong work ethic
  • Effective communicator
  • Strong references
  • Self-motivated and self-starter
  • Must be a strong team player in the field
  • Ability to work at heights
  • 2+ years installing solar or 3+ years in construction

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary $25-35/hour depending on experience
  • Annual Bonus structure
