CORYS is seeking an experienced, dynamic leader to serve as the Project Management (PM) Team Lead. This is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing the entire PM team, ensuring operational excellence, and driving the successful, on-time, and on-budget delivery of complex new product development projects. The Team Lead reports directly to the VP and acts as the key operational coordinator, mentoring PM staff while strategically managing major customer relationships and technical compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic & Team Leadership

  2. Provide direct leadership, mentorship, and guidance to all Project Managers, ensuring adherence to project management best practices and CORYS standards.

  3. Promote standardization across all deliverables and drive continuous process improvements to optimize project execution efficiency.
  4. Lead the adoption of new product development best practices across the PM function, working closely with the overall engineering management structure.

  5. Project Oversight & Execution

  6. Oversee PM tasks guaranteeing alignment with contractual objectives, project priorities, and milestone deadlines.

  7. Conduct thorough project reviews and evaluations to monitor quality control and client specifications.
  8. Proactively manage and communicate with customers, serving as the initial point of escalation for high-level relationship management.
  9. Identify project risks early, propose robust mitigation strategies, and enforce corrective actions to maintain high-quality execution.
  10. Lead Project Managers in rigorous tracking of project costs, resource utilization, and overall financial health of projects.

  11. Process Optimization & Business Contribution

  12. Maintain and enforce strict documentation standards, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all project artifacts.

  13. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge-sharing within the team by implementing lessons learned from past projects.
  14. Collaborate with the VP to enhance overall workflow efficiency and reduce critical bottlenecks.
  15. Contribute to technical sales discussions and business development efforts by defining solutions that align both with client needs and business objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) Degree (or higher).
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience managing new product development projects.
  • Strong background in managing projects that include complex software and hardware development in an iterative integration environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage people and lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers individuals).
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, handle pressure effectively, and maintain a high level of commitment.
  • Excellent verbal and written English proficiency, including active listening and the ability to articulate complex requirements and technical documentation.
  • Proficient use of the MS Office suite, including MS Project.
  • Legal: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desirable.
  • Experience in sub-contractor and supplier management.
  • Understanding of basic manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of the railway industry.
