As Orbel continues to grow and modernize — expanding our capabilities in photochemical milling, custom metal stamping, heat teating and electroplating — we are seeking a Vice President of Sales & Marketing to drive our next phase of commercial growth.
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on, high-impact leadership role responsible for shaping and executing Orbel's go-to-market strategy.
The Vice President of Sales & Marketing will:
- Develop and lead a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy that drives well above average revenue growth and market expansion.
- Build and mentor a customer-focused sales team that reflects Orbel's commitment to service and precision.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities with OEMs and Tier-1 customers in key industries.
- Partner closely with engineering, operations, and leadership to align customer needs with Orbel's technical strengths.
- Oversee all branding, digital marketing, trade shows, and communications that elevate Orbel's market presence.
- Implement CRM tools, sales analytics, and key account strategies to support scalable, data-driven growth.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of leadership experience in sales and/or marketing within precision manufacturing, metal fabrication, supporting the Mil / Aero markets.
- Proven success driving growth in custom, tight-tolerance, technically driven manufacturing environments.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to communicate complex capabilities to both engineers and executives.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, build long-term customer partnerships, and execute strategic plans.
- Entrepreneurial mindset suited to a small, fast-moving organization where leadership is both strategic and hands-on.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing sales strategies in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of sales principles, contract negotiation, and account management.
- Proven ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or technical background preferred.

Position Summary:
The Vice President of Sales and Marketing is a key member of the leadership team and is responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to the sales function of the organization. This individual will design and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue objectives, develop new business opportunities, and manage customer relationships in alignment with company goals. The role requires a proven leader with strong business acumen and the ability to operate effectively within a small manufacturing environment.
Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute the overall sales strategy aligned with company objectives.
- Identify growth opportunities in core manufacturing markets (e.g., aerospace, medical, industrial).
- Work closely with the leadership team on forecasting, budgeting, and business planning.
Sales & Business Development
- Lead the sales team to achieve revenue, margin, and customer acquisition targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and strategic partners.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and long-term supply agreements.
- Drive new business development while protecting and expanding existing accounts.
- Adept at identifying and capturing new revenue opportunities.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences. Ability to work cross-functionally to align sales with production and business operations
Key Responsibilities
Recruit, mentor, and develop a small but highly effective sales team.
Establish performance metrics, sales incentives, and training programs.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Establish annual sales targets, monitor progress, and adjust plans to ensure achievement of revenue goals.
- Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities within target industries.
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts to maximize satisfaction, retention, and profitability.
- Partner with operations, engineering, and finance to ensure customer requirements are met
- Comfortable with CRM systems, data-driven decision-making, and reporting.
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies that align with organizational objectives.
- Establish annual sales targets, monitor progress, and adjust plans to ensure achievement of revenue goals.
- Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities within target industries.
- Prepare accurate forecasts, budgets, and sales reports for executive management.
- Negotiate customer contracts, pricing, and terms in accordance with company guidelines.
- Represent the organization at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.
- Drive continuous improvement in sales processes, tools, and performance metrics.
