Daikin Applied is seeking a
Sr. Software Engineer
. The Sr. Software Engineer will architect software solutions. They will also modify, develop, write, and implement software programming applications, including utility, development, or diagnostic software. They will participate in the testing process through test plan development, test review and analysis, and software certification. This role will interface with internal client groups to ensure all planned projects and scheduled deadlines are understood. Location
: Plymouth, MN – Hybrid (3 days in office)

What You Will Do

• Design, develop, modify, implement and support software components anywhere in the software stack
• Create software designs that satisfy product requirements as outlined in the product specification and resolves complex design challenges
• Translate and implement Engineering product structure and configuration rules into the software
• Interface with multiple stakeholders, which may include end users, customers, marketing, consultants and engineers in the design as well as the performance of the software. Establish the user interface requirements to assure ease of use and friendliness of the application
• Resolve errors found in the software through troubleshooting/problem-solving
• Use modern software engineering techniques to develop modular object-oriented software that meets the product requirements
• Maintain documentation for resulting software to be easily understood by others
• Establish and manage project plans, schedules, and resources to meet objectives and ensure timely delivery while also proactively communicating any changes or delays to management. Resolve schedule or resource conflicts as required
• Assign and direct the workload of available team resources, including progress/status meetings as necessary
• Prepare and execute software testing plans to ensure quality and accuracy. Assure that designs meet safety requirements and all applicable industry and/or Daikin standards
• Communicate informational deadlines with all affected departments to ensure project schedules are maintained and software is released on time
• Collaborate with other functional groups to develop tests that simulate the requirements of the customers. Evaluate test data and makes software revisions to solve identified problems
• Mentor and develop junior engineers on the team

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or related field
• Minimum of four years of software engineering experience
• Experience with C/C++
• Experience with Object Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts
• Work sponsorship is not available for this position

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $90,400-$147, % bonus in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade in which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
