OVERVIEW:

Associates are responsible for positively contributing to our customers' shopping experience by providing knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient service. Team members must deliver impeccable customer service by acting with a "customer comes first" attitude. Greeting customers, attending to their needs, and building a loyal client base are just a few of the key responsibilities. To perform these responsibilities, associates must be able to positively interact and build relationships with customers, co-workers, and management teams.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1) Gather and use product knowledge to educate customers and assist them in making product selections. 2) Assist in tagging merchandise for sale, apply promotional notices and price tags, apply loss prevention sensors, and process merchandise from stock room to sales floor.3) Keep stock room clean and organized.4) Understand the POS register system and perform sales transactions through skillful use of the system.5) Complete transactions in a professional, friendly, and timely manner.6) Communicate information regarding sales, markdowns, customer programs, and promotions to customers. 7) Follow the Company's operational policies and procedures, including those for handling cash, loss prevention, safety, and security. 8) Assist in unloading and processing stock weighing up to 55 lbs. through use of buddy-lifting techniques.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1) Selling:a. Meet daily and individual sales goals from Manager.b. Maintain the visual appearance of the store.c. Maintain and contribute to a positive team environment.

2) Cashiering:a. Maintain supplies for register station, including bags, boxes, register tape, and other necessary materials.

3) Stocking:a. Perform all aspects of processing merchandise and/or other items needed for store operations.b. Support and assist in placing merchandise on sales floor and maintaining window/endcap/handbag displays in accordance with SHOE SHOW's style guide and management instructions.c. Assist in the cleaning and the recovery of the store sales floor, stockroom, and restrooms.d. Complete additional tasks as assigned by Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, and Keyholder.

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:

Work is typically performed indoors in a retail store. Flooring surfaces may be carpeted or uncarpeted. Depending on seasonal conditions, exterior work clearing snow and ice from walkways may be required. Sweeping exterior walkways may also be required.

Position requires walking and standing for 4-12 hours, depending on shift length, and frequentbending, reaching, grasping, climbing a ladder or step stool, kneeling, and squatting.

CREDENTIALS/EXPERIENCE: No prior experience required.
