What you'll do

  • Operate CNC lathe and CNC milling machines to produce parts according to specifications.
  • Program and set up CNC machines using Fanuc controls to ensure optimal performance.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and SolidWorks models to understand project requirements.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges to verify part dimensions.
  • Perform electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes as needed for intricate designs.
  • Collaborate with team members in assembly processes and lean manufacturing initiatives to enhance efficiency.
  • Maintain tooling and hand tools, ensuring they are in good working condition for production tasks.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on machinery to minimize downtime and ensure safety.

Basic qualifications

  • Strong mechanical knowledge with a solid understanding of machining processes.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and CAM programming for effective design execution.
  • Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles for accurate part specifications.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with plastics injection molding techniques.
  • Knowledge of coordinate measuring machines (CMM) for quality control assessments.
  • Ability to operate forklifts safely within the manufacturing environment.
  • Welding skills are a plus but not mandatory.
