Job Summary: 

The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will repair and maintain company vehicles and equipment in our container/port terminals. 

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

· None. 

Duties/Responsibilities: 

· Repairs and services golf carts, buses, mule trucks, forklifts, top loaders. 

· Maintains heavy equipment that includes hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical machinery. 

· Inspects equipment to determine whether repairs are needed. 

· Troubleshoots issues or problems with vehicles and machinery as necessary to make repairs. 

· Maintains a clean and safe repair shop. 

· Performs other related duties as assigned. 

Required Skills/Abilities:  

· Ability to use hand tools and power tools to repair ground support vehicles and equipment. 

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 

· Ability to follow instructions. 

Education and Experience: 

· Previous related experience preferred.  

· On-the-job training provided. 

Physical Requirements:  

· Prolonged periods working on vehicles and equipment. 

· Must be physically able to access vehicles and equipment either by kneeling or lying on back. 

· Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
