Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support clinical operations for primary care. This role involves providing exceptional patient care, assisting with rooming, vitals, documentaiton, and supporting administrative tasks within a fast-paced medical environment. Experience in primary care is highly valued. The Medical Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring smooth patient flow and maintaining high standards of care.

Duties

  • Greet and assist patients during intake, including collecting vital signs and updating medical histories
  • Prepare examination rooms and assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures
  • Administer medications and injections following proper protocols and physician instructions
  • Operate EHR systems for documentation of patient information, ICD coding, and medical records management
  • Monitor patient responses during treatment and provide patient education on medication use and health management
  • Assist with scheduling appointments, follow-ups, and managing patient flow within outpatient or inpatient settings
  • Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of medical equipment and exam areas in compliance with safety standards
  • Document clinical notes accurately, including vital signs, physical assessments, and procedural details

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in outpatient clinics, hospitals, or specialty practices such as primary care or internal medicine
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, ICD coding, and pharmacology
  • Experience with EHR systems and medical administrative support functions
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred
  • Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse populations
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and clinical procedures
