About the Role

We are hiring a Sr. Risk Analyst who is data-driven and has strong analytical & technical skills. In this role, you will work on the Credit Risk team and will play a key role in launching new products and optimizing loss rates on the existing portfolio. You'll work closely with product, engineering, data analytics, and finance teams, interacting with key stakeholders across many departments.

The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $133,000.00 and up to $185, Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.

In this role, you can expect to
  • Be responsible for the underwriting, risk management and performance of various lending products; specifically installment loans
  • Develop credit policies and continuously iterate to improve credit product approval criteria and line assignment strategies
  • Design, develop, test, refactor and scale backend implementation of new and existing risk strategies for consumer credit products . 
  • Devise and apply various analytical tools and techniques to validate risk models and strategies. Leverage external and internal Chime data to build credit models and policies in partnership with our Data Science team

  • Collaborate with various data teams to build data infrastructure and establish reporting dashboards that will help senior management understand credit risk trends and exposures
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams (product, finance, legal , compliance and marketing, engineering ) across the company to assess and implement new credit risk  initiatives
To thrive in this role, you have
  • 4+ years of analytical experience, preferably at a FinTech company.
  • 2+ years of experience in a Credit Risk or related roles.   
  • Advanced SQL skills and Microsoft Excel skills.  
  • Experience in Python preferred
  • Exceptional detail-orientation and organizational skills. You are eager to solve challenging analytical problems for our members
  • The drive to work in a fast-paced environment and exceed ambitions deadlines while ensuring flawless completion
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitatively rigorous discipline like engineering, statistics, math, or economics is preferred
