Summary

We are recruiting a Senior Manager, Engineering to lead and inspire a high-performing engineering organization focused on innovation and continuous improvement. In this role, you will guide the planning and execution of new product engineering, research and development, and advanced manufacturing initiatives. You will champion process optimization and cost-reduction efforts across both new and existing programs, while providing strategic direction, technical expertise, and forward-thinking concepts to drive organizational success.

Hybrid - Milwaukee, WI.

Compensation

Compensation is highly competitive and includes 401K + Full Medical, Dental, and Vision packages + additional benefits.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Motivate, mentor, and lead a cross-functional team of engineers and technicians in the research, design, and development of battery management systems.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with internal departments to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Champion and enforce consistent use of the New Product Development process.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and ensure compliance in all engineering activities.
  • Manage customer interactions related to part and product design, manufacturing considerations, and quality control issues.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships; support supplier identification, evaluation, and selection.
  • Oversee reporting on project status, budget adherence, customer satisfaction metrics, and other key team activities.
  • Support and enhance engineering systems and tools that drive high-quality product design.
  • Approve strategic business decisions related to product safety, annual and long-term planning, and supplier agreements.

Education, Skills, and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years' relevant working experience to include: battery management systems, motor controls, software, and construction testing.
  • Minimum of 3 years managing and leading a team.
  • Strong project management, supervisory and team building skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of engineering, testing and manufacturing processes related to product.
  • Advanced understanding of data collection, automation and analysis processes.
  • Proven ability to effectively solve problems with diverse groups of people.
  • Strong interpersonal, written communication and problem-solving skills to effectively interface with engineers, managers and customers.
