This position requires good oral and written communication skills, troubleshooting skills and technical aptitude. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is required. After completing training, the right candidate must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Individuals in this role are required to perform technical troubleshooting over the phone, determine if equipment is faulty and ship new equipment if necessary. Work with onsite technicians to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues. Assist customers who call in for remote technical assistance. Knowledge of telecommunication industry terminology, standards, system deployment techniques, sequential problem solving, private branch exchange (PBX), Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP), and local area networks (LAN) is desired, but not required. Candidates with previous experience working in technical call center or corporate technical helpdesk or technical support center will be given preference. This position may require working some overtime and weekend hours.
