The Alternate Investment Team, within Fidelity Institutional Technology (FIT), is seeking a Principal Oracle PL/SQL Developer to join the team to help build and maintain high quality product and solutions to enable Alternate Investment business. We are looking for a person who has hands-on software engineering experience building cloud-based systems using modern, scalable, resilient, Cloud native architectures (Containers and Serverless). Monitors and maintains the operational stability of services within the Cloud. Able to navigate and mange technical complexities while developing secure and scalable solutions for our customers.

The Alternate Investment development team at Fidelity designs, builds, and supports an Alternate Investment solution. This team is an innovative, diverse, and hardworking group, who use an Agile approach and principles to deliver.

Engineering Expertise:

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information System, or a related field.
• Minimum 8+ Years Related Technology Experience, financial industry experience a plus.
• Expertise with building and maintaining Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) or other data pipeline processes to move and integrate data from various sources into Oracle database.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL experience with specific database management systems (like Oracle, PostgreSQL), physical data modeling, and performance optimization techniques.
• Strong RDBMS skills – SQL querying, writing stored procedures, triggers, functions, views, user privileges, object privileges, etc.
• Proficient with performing applications database (Oracle) services including SQL code review, performance analysis, query tuning, database application design, development support & Engineering
• Deep proficiency with writing database code such as stored procedures, triggers, views, and complex queries to support application logic and ensure data integrity.
• Experience with analyzing data and user requirements to design effective solutions.
• Knowledge of cloud database services like Amazon RDS.
• Demonstrated expertise with critical thinking and decision-making skills. Ability to take up new challenges and explore new technology/tools.
• Strong data driven problem-solving abilities. Collaborate with cross squads to define, design, and ship high-quality software solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to optimally convey technical concepts.
