Application Systems Analyst

TS/SCI with Polygraph Required

Salary Range: $96,000 - $115,000 per year

Ops Tech Alliance (OTA) is seeking an Application Systems Analyst to help bridge the gap between user needs and technical solutions. In this role, you'll play a key part in the modernization, development, and sustainment of mission-critical applications.

You'll work closely with users and technical teams to gather and translate requirements, document processes, and support development efforts. Your work will ensure that applications not only meet security standards but also deliver real value to mission objectives.

THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze application workflows, system interactions, and user requirements to define system specifications
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, and quality assurance teams to ensure technical requirements are fully captured and implemented
  • Create and maintain technical documentation including functional specifications, user stories, use cases, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Evaluate existing applications for improvement opportunities during modernization and provide recommendations
  • Support validation of system functionality through requirement traceability, testing plans, and user feedback
  • Assist in the development of business process models and workflows

Required Qualifications

  • TS/SCI with Polygraph Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in systems analysis or business analysis roles
  • Strong experience writing documentation such as SOPs, workflows, and user stories
  • Ability to translate user needs into detailed technical requirements
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting modernization initiatives in government or DoD environments
  • Familiarity with cloud-based systems and integration projects
  • Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Visio, or similar
  • Master's degree in a related field
