Job Summary:
Our Client is seeking a detail-oriented Regulatory Reporting Associate who will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial data, ensuring compliance, and strengthening the organization's overall reporting framework. This position is ideal for someone with strong accounting knowledge, a passion for process improvement, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
The Impact You Will Make
- Manage key regulatory reporting activities, including reconciliations, analysis, documentation, and process administration.
- Enhance reporting accuracy by identifying opportunities to adjust or improve current accounting and reporting processes.
- Support the creation, improvement, and maintenance of regulatory reporting workflows and recommend process improvements to boost overall team effectiveness.
- Prepare and review regulatory reports, investigate discrepancies, and resolve significant variances.
- Track and communicate any regulatory reporting incidents to senior leadership.
- Research new products, systems, and current best practices to strengthen the reporting function.
- Review, reconcile, and analyze general ledger data to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or auditing.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, including US GAAP/IFRS and regulatory reporting standards.
- Experience with federal regulatory reporting forms (e.g., FFIEC 002, FRY-15) is an advantage.
- Familiarity with financial products such as derivatives, fixed income, lending, cash management, or trade finance or an eagerness to learn.
- High attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy while understanding the broader reporting context.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Strong multitasking skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel functions (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
- Spanish language skills are a plus.
Preferred Certifications
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) preferred.
