Director - EVS/Transport

Description:

JOB PURPOSE:

Provides leadership and direction, technical assistance and supervision for the Environmental Services Department. Monitors staffing, contracts, equipment, supplies, job assignments and evaluations. Responsible for on-going departmental quality initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Manages the operations of the Housekeeping Department to ensure a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors and employees.

2. Provides leadership and supervision to the department to ensure a competent staff provides quality services.

3. Manages the financial and physical resources of the department within the fiscal and productivity guidelines of the hospital.

4. Ensures adequate quantity and quality of linens.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Minimum of high school diploma

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Ten (10) years of healthcare environmental services background.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:

None.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree preferred.
