Overview

We are hiring Qualified Physical Therapist Assistants to join our team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist physical therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans and care plans for patients.
  • Conduct therapeutic exercises and activities under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
  • Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising therapist.
  • Educate patients and their families on exercises, techniques, and home care strategies.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with medical terminology standards.
  • Participate in discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition for patients leaving therapy.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive care for patients, particularly in geriatrics and orthopedics.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or outpatient clinic is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is essential.
  • Familiarity with acute care settings and discharge planning processes is beneficial.
  • Experience working with geriatric populations is a plus.
  • Ability to develop rapport with patients while providing compassionate care.
