Product Liability & Class Action Litigation Associate Attorney | Detroit Metro, MI (Hybrid)

A leading AmLaw 50 firm is seeking a Litigation Associate with 3–6 years of experience to join its Product Liability & Class Action practice. This dynamic team defends major corporations across a range of industries—including automotive, manufacturing, and consumer products—in high-stakes, complex litigation nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle all phases of product liability and class action litigation , including motion practice, discovery, and trial preparation.
  • Prepare and defend company witnesses and conduct depositions of fact and expert witnesses.
  • Draft briefs, pleadings, and dispositive motions with precision and strategy.
  • Participate in court hearings, settlement negotiations, and trials .
  • Manage case files from investigation through resolution, collaborating with clients and senior attorneys throughout.

Qualifications:

  • 3–6 years of experience in product liability, complex commercial, or class action defense litigation.
  • Defense experience in catastrophic injury cases strongly preferred.
  • Experience with automotive industry matters or e-discovery a plus.
  • Excellent writing, oral advocacy, and case-management skills required.
  • Active member of the Michigan Bar (required).
