The Station Lead is a working leader who owns the daily performance of a defined station or zone. This role combines hands-on production with real-time guidance of teammates, setting the tone for teamwork, inclusion, and accountability. Station Leads mentor and train team members, ensure food-safety compliance, and embody the warmth and respect we expect throughout F&F.

Key Responsibilities
  • Station Ownership: Oversee the daily performance of a defined station or zone, ensuring the accuracy, pace, and safety targets designated by the supervisor are met.
  • Workflow Coordination: Assign tasks, balance workloads, and adjust staffing at the station to keep output and quality on track.
  • Training & Skill Development: Set the quality and tone for projects. Provide hands-on training and continuous coaching for team members; identify skill gaps and escalate needs to supervisors.
  • First-Line Problem Solving: Address immediate issues—equipment, quality concerns, or process bottlenecks—and communicate promptly to management.
  • Quality & Safety Accountability: Monitor and enforce SOPs, food safety, sanitation, and allergen protocols, acting as the primary contact for audits or spot checks in the station, and as the leading example of safe workplace behaviors in the work area.
  • Reporting & Feedback: Monitor key station metrics (accuracy, yield, throughput, waste) and share daily updates or improvement suggestions with supervisors. Verify documentation for completion and keep the fire chart continuously up to date.
  • Culture & Engagement: Model F&F values, promote collaboration, and foster an environment of respect and inclusion across shifts.

Progression Note

Each advanced level at F&F builds on the responsibilities, skills, and behaviors of the level that precedes it. A Level II Associate, Expeditor, or Station Lead is expected to meet all expectations of the prior role(s) while adding the new accountabilities described here. Competence at the previous level is implied and required.
