Mosaic Catering + Events is an award-winning event service company with operations in Richmond, VA and Charleston, SC. We are a full-service, one-stop shop for your event, catering, design, rentals, and lighting needs.

MOSAIC is currently hiring for a Special Events General Production Install Lead in our Richmond, VA location.

The Production Install Lead will work in the rental warehouse, with our design & decor department, and installations on event site. Will require an organized, hands-on individual who embraces the challenge of creating and ensuring efficiency; including the safe storage, maintenance, accurate and on-time delivery and return of our event rental inventory. This position requires a highly organized individual with strong logistic capabilities as well as someone who possesses excellent leadership skills. The manager is responsible for complete supervision of a team of warehouse associates.

Major Duties:

  • Managing rental inventory
  • Managing lighting equipment
  • Working on event site to ensure success
  • Process rental orders
  • Preparation of inventory to satisfy scheduled deliveries and pickups for daily orders.
  • Supervision of warehouse associates, including identification of priorities then delegating tasks, creating the weekly schedule
  • Producing and/or viewing delivery, pickup, sub-rental and over-booking reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Implementing and completing warehouse opening, operation and closing procedures on a daily basis.
  • Timely arrival, accounting and preparation of new rental inventory.
  • Supervise timely return, processing, cleaning and re-stocking rentals into inventory.
  • Maintain all warehouse equipment in safe and working condition.
  • Maintain all warehouse areas including office, restrooms and storage areas in a safe, clean and working condition.
  • Maintain all company vehicles in safe and working condition.
  • Maintain all inspection and license requirements for all company vehicles.

Required Qualifications and Education:

  • 2 years experience managing a team, preferably of 10+
  • Night, weekend, and daytime availability
  • Experience in the hospitality industry
  • Experience with lighting and sound equipment
  • Clean & Valid Driver's license
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to lift 50-80 lbs.
  • Ability to use computer software
  • Ability to communicate routinely via phone, personal contact and via email
  • Walking, standing, sitting required throughout the typical business day
  • The ability to work in hot, cold, non-air-conditioned environments
  • The ability to regularly & repetitively bend, carry, climb, grasp, kneel, lift, pull, push, reach, sit, stand, twist, walk

Pay will depend on experience.

Pay: $45, $60,000.00 per year
