Summary:

The Team Leader Special Assets Group (TLSAG) will oversee the Special Assets Portfolio under the direction of the Chief Credit Officer. The primary objective of the TLSAG will be to provide leadership, guidance and management to the Special Asset Portfolio (SAP's) who are charged with the management and resolution of adversely classified loans.

This position will partner with the Lending personnel to assist with properly identifying deteriorating and transfer to the Special Assets Group. In addition, the officer is responsible for compliance with all applicable banking laws, regulations, and internal policies.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Workouts and rehabilitations: The primary objective is to maximize recovery to the bank and to protect the bank from additional or contingent liabilities through the prudent use of typical loan workout activities.
  • Loan Portfolio Management: Ensure adherence to all written credit and workout policies in the implementation of workout strategies.
  • Credit Quality – Ensure proper risk rating is assigned to all credits on a timely basis.
  • Credit and Collateral Exceptions: Eliminate or reduce exception items by proper procedures and planning.
  • Obtain all documentation that is required when analyzing extensions, renewals, restructures or other extensions of credit.
  • Accountable for achieving his/her team's assigned criticized and classified loan reduction goals on a quarterly basis.
  • Regular attendance required, working at the work site during regular business hours and/or assigned hours
