Shift: Day Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)

Days: Monday – Friday

Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week

Rate: $68/hr Negotiable

Meal Break: 30 minutes

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Director of Nursing (DON) to join our leadership team. The DON will oversee the overall clinical operations of the facility, ensuring the highest standard of care and compliance with state and federal regulations. This position plays a key role in supervising nursing staff, coordinating resident care, and maintaining quality outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the nursing department to ensure safe and effective resident care.
  • Supervise and support nursing staff including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing policies and procedures.
  • Conduct staff training and performance evaluations to promote professional growth.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize resident outcomes.
  • Monitor infection control, medication administration, and resident documentation practices.
  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement programs.
  • Respond promptly to resident and family concerns, maintaining positive communication and satisfaction.
  • Manage staffing schedules and ensure adequate coverage for all shifts.

Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Mexico (or Compact License).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of nursing management experience, preferably in long-term care or skilled nursing settings.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of nursing regulations, standards of care, and best practices.
  • Current BLS certification required.
