Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Tanker Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting liquid cargo safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of truck operations, excellent driving skills, and adherence to safety regulations. The Tanker Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of service.

Duties

  • Operate tanker trucks to transport liquid freight to various destinations.
  • Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols are followed.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and cargo transported.
  • Follow designated routes while adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to hazardous materials transportation.

Skills

  • Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on tanker operations.
  • Proficiency in operating various types of trucks including dump trucks, roll-off trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers.
  • Strong route driving skills with the ability to navigate efficiently through different terrains.
  • Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
  • Ability to load and unload freight safely and effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills for interaction with dispatchers and clients.
  • Strong attention to detail for maintaining accurate delivery records and adhering to safety protocols.
