Position Summary:

VIP Systems, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee our financial operations, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, leading audits, and providing valuable insights to drive the company's profitability and efficiency.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and financial data integrity.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, identifying discrepancies or trends that require management attention.
  • Coordinate and assist with semi-annual and annual audits, preparing necessary documentation for external auditors.
  • Provide recommendations to reduce costs, increase operational efficiency, and enhance revenue.
  • Support the CFO with budget preparation, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial laws and regulations.
  • Supervise and delegate accounting tasks to junior accountants and other team members.
  • Develop and implement improved accounting processes and internal controls.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
