This is a full time, onsite role working out of our Century City, CA, office.

About the Role

The Paralegal will be responsible for reviewing, finalizing, and filing motions, as well as reserving and calendaring hearing dates and related deadlines. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with state and federal court filing procedures. The ideal candidate is proactive, deadline-driven, and capable of managing multiple cases simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review drafts of motions, oppositions, replies, and related pleadings for accuracy, format, and compliance with court rules.
  • Finalize and file motions and supporting documents through state and federal e-filing systems.
  • Reserve hearing dates and coordinate availability with court clerks, opposing counsel, and attorneys.
  • Calendar all hearing dates, filing deadlines, and related due dates in the firm's case management system.
  • Confirm that all filings meet applicable court rules, local rules, and departmental procedures.
  • Track and update motion and hearing schedules for assigned cases.
  • Communicate with attorneys and legal staff regarding upcoming deadlines and filing requirements.
  • Maintain organized electronic files related to motions and hearings.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in civil litigation.
  • Understanding of California Rules of Court, Local Rules, and e-filing procedures.
  • Proficiency with court reservation systems and electronic filing portals
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • ABA-approved paralegal certificate or equivalent experience preferred.
