Job Summary

The Youth Development Professional/ Driver plays a vital role in fostering the growth and development of children and adolescents in a supportive and engaging environment. This position involves creating and implementing educational programs, mentoring youth, and promoting positive behavior. The Youth Development Professional/ Driver is responsible for the safe and reliable transportation of youth to and from Boys & Girls Club sites and special events. This position ensures that all passengers are transported in a timely, professional, and safety-conscious manner.

Duties

  • Develop and implement engaging educational activities that promote learning and personal growth.
  • Manage classroom dynamics effectively, ensuring a safe and productive environment for all participants.
  • Provide individualized support to children with special needs or behavioral challenges.
  • Utilize first aid skills as necessary to ensure the health and safety of all youth participants.
  • Collaborate with parents, guardians, and other staff to foster a supportive community around each child.
  • Safely operate Club vehicles to pick up and drop off members at designated locations, including schools, homes, and Club facilities.
  • Provide transportation for field trips, special events, and other approved Club activities.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and Club transportation policies

Requirements

  • Experience working with children in various settings such as daycare, camps, or schools is essential.
  • No CDL needed.
  • Must be 25 years of age or older.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no major violations, DUI's or accidents).
  • Experience working with youth preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Must pass background checks and meet all licensing and insurance requirements.
