Job Description:

  • Recognizes the influence of beliefs and cultures on behaviors and identifies possible communication barriers.
  • Facilitates individual, group, and family counseling as well as psycho-educational groups to promote patient emotional, spiritual, and psychological health.
  • Works with interdisciplinary teams to formulate and implement patient care using insight, limit setting, support, goal setting, and other techniques.
  • Evaluates for potential safety risks appropriately and responds to potentially dangerous situations to ensure patient safety in the least restrictive manner.
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of the involuntary commitment process. Recognizes and reports suspected abuse/neglect in patients of all age groups according to guidelines.
