Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sales Estimator to join our team at Cross Island Flooring and More. This commission-only position offers the opportunity to earn based on performance, with no base salary. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of flooring and bathroom renovation projects, with the ability to accurately assess costs and provide detailed estimates to clients. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency in basic mathematics, and the ability to work collaboratively with clients, and internal teams.

* There is no cold calling customers. These are all warm leads, they are customers interested in having projects done. They are sourced from an extremely large tile resource. Estimated 15 to 30 estimates per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Assessment: Conduct on-site evaluations of potential projects to determine scope, materials, and labor requirements.
  • Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for flooring and bathroom renovation projects, including materials, labor, and additional expenses.
  • Client Interaction: Engage with clients to understand their project needs, provide consultations, and present estimates in a clear and professional manner.
  • Documentation: Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, and project specifications for internal tracking and reporting purposes.
  • Compliance: Ensure all estimates and project plans comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and company standards.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Prior experience in estimating for flooring and bathroom renovation projects is required.
  • Mathematical Proficiency: Strong understanding of basic math fundamentals to accurately calculate material quantities and costs.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in basic computer applications; familiarity with estimating software is a plus.
  • Transportation: Reliable transportation is required for site visits and client meetings.
  • Background Check: Ability to pass a background check as part of the hiring process.
