Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and support in a clinical setting. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, laboratory procedures, and patient service, ensuring that all patients receive the best possible care during their visits. Bilingual preferred.

Duties

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
  • Perform vital sign assessments, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiratory rate.
  • Collect and process specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques.
  • Conduct phlebotomy procedures for blood sampling and ensure proper handling of specimens.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with medical standards.
  • Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and answering any questions.
  • Utilize knowledge of anatomy and physiology to assist in patient care effectively.
  • Support clinical staff with laboratory techniques and procedures as needed.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the clinical environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy/physiology.
  • Proficiency in laboratory procedures, including specimen collection and processing.
  • Experience with phlebotomy techniques, including venipuncture and blood sampling.
  • Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to care.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with aseptic techniques and safety protocols within a clinical laboratory context.
