About the Role

The Food Service Worker plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of food preparation and service within our facility located in Blake Hopkins This position is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation to provide a safe and pleasant dining experience for all patrons. The role requires consistent attention to detail in food handling, preparation, and presentation to meet health and safety regulations. The Food Service Worker collaborates closely with kitchen and service staff to support efficient meal service and customer satisfaction. Ultimately, this position contributes significantly to the overall quality and reputation of our food service operations.

Job ResponsibilitiesPrepare and serve food items according to established guidelines and customer preferences.Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food preparation and service areas in compliance with health regulations.Assist in receiving, storing, and organizing food supplies and inventory.Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to manual dexterity requirements.Stand for extended periods during shifts to ensure continuous food service and customer support.Minimum QualificationsAbility to understand and communicate effectively in English.Demonstrated manual dexterity and physical stamina to stand for long periods.Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.Previous experience in a food service or related environment is preferred but not mandatory.Preferred QualificationsCertification in food handling or safety (e.g., ServSafe).Experience working in a fast-paced food service setting.Familiarity with kitchen equipment and inventory management.Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with team members and customers.Skills

The required skills such as understanding and speaking English are essential for clear communication with team members and customers, ensuring orders and instructions are accurately conveyed. Manual dexterity is critical for handling food items safely and efficiently, as well as operating kitchen tools and equipment. The ability to stand for long periods supports the physical demands of continuous food preparation and service throughout the shift. Sanitization skills are applied daily to maintain a hygienic environment, preventing contamination and ensuring compliance with health standards. Preferred skills like food safety certification and experience in fast-paced environments enhance the worker's ability to perform tasks confidently and contribute to a seamless food service operation.
