Position Summary
As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in keeping the manufacturing plant running smoothly. You'll perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and control systems, work on production equipment, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. Your work helps maintain up-time, product quality and workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment and facility systems (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic).
- Diagnose and repair breakdowns in production equipment, presses, conveyors, coatings/printing systems or related tooling.
- Troubleshoot electrical control systems, PLCs, sensors, motors, drives and other automation components.
- Work closely with production, engineering and quality teams to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
- Assist in installation, commissioning and start-up of new equipment or upgrades.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, repairs done and equipment history.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives: propose improvements, help implement modifications, support root-cause analysis of recurring issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and company policies — maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Participate in on-call rotation (if required) and respond to emergency maintenance needs.
- Comply with lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures and other required safety protocols.
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of [2-5] years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably in metal fabrication, packaging, or printing).
- Strong mechanical (motors, bearings, hydraulics, pneumatics) and electrical (control circuits, motor drives, PLCs) skills.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools (multimeter, amp meter, mechanical tools, etc.).
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently under pressure.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Preferred:
- Technical/ trade school certificate or associate's degree in maintenance technology, industrial maintenance, electronics or related field.
- Experience with printing/metal lithography equipment or tin can manufacturing equipment.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance software/CMMS systems.
- Knowledge of PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and variable-frequency drives (VFDs).
- Experience with mechanical fabrication, welding or machining is a plus.
Working Conditions
- Manufacturing plant environment: noise, moving machinery, and variable temperatures.
- Must be able to work standing, walking, climbing ladders, lifting to [50] lbs., bending and reaching.
- PPE required (safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toe shoes, etc.).
- Shift work, overtime or weekend work may be required based on plant needs.

Pay Based on Experience: $31/hr. - $38.50/hr.
