We are seeking a customer-centered pharmacy technician to care for patients and communicate with the medical community we serve. Your work will directly affect patients in your community and coast-to-coast, impacting your neighbors as well as four-legged and feathered friends. Excellent phone etiquette, organizational skills, and attention to detail are a must. Daily functions range from assisting customers face-to-face to taking phone and online orders, monitoring inventory and stocking, and learning about the natural therapies we offer. Compounding experience is generally required for consideration for a laboratory role. Shift is 9:30AM-6PM M-F. We are closed weekends, holidays, and evenings. Pharmacy Technician—Dispensing

  • Delivering quality customer service to patients: responding to inquiries, questions, or requests, and referring them to the pharmacist for medical information.
  • Upholding O'Brien Pharmacy's Mission and Core Values.
  • Accurately taking, documenting, and assembling orders.
  • Accepting written prescriptions or refill requests from patients and doctor offices and evaluating information for completeness and accuracy.
  • Recording medical histories while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Verifying the accuracy of patient information.
  • Filling prescriptions including counting medication, typing and attaching medication labels.
  • Maintaining a clean and orderly work environment
  • Stocking retail area.
  • Performing inventory audits and purchasing supplies and medication.
  • Processing patient insurance forms.
  • Other duties as required.

Additional Duties for Laboratory Roles

  • Assisting in making sterile and non-sterile dosage forms as required.
  • Labeling and packaging of medication.
  • Cleaning of laboratory, compounding utensils, sterile and non-sterile rooms, sterile and non-sterile hoods.
  • Other duties as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Beginning pay from $22 to $24 per hour with room to grow

Qualifications:

Must have a Kansas Pharmacy Technician License and at least 1 year experience as a pharmacy technician.
