About the Role:
The Director of Human Resources will lead the strategic development and execution of all human capital initiatives within a professional, scientific, and technical services environment. This role is pivotal in shaping the organizational culture, driving talent acquisition, retention, and development strategies that align with the company's long-term business objectives. The Director will oversee compliance with employment laws and regulations while fostering an inclusive and engaging workplace. They will collaborate closely with senior leadership to design competitive compensation and benefits programs that attract and motivate top talent. Ultimately, this position ensures that the human resources function supports the company's growth, innovation, and operational excellence.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of progressive experience in human resources management, including leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices within the professional services industry.
- Proven experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, and performance management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, or MBA.
- Professional HR certification such as SHRM-SCP or SPHR.
- Experience working in the professional, scientific, and technical services sector.
- Demonstrated success in leading diversity, equity, and inclusion programs.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and data analytics to drive decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Lead talent acquisition efforts including workforce planning, recruitment, and onboarding processes to meet organizational needs.
- Oversee employee relations, performance management, and professional development programs to enhance employee engagement and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and manage risk related to HR policies and practices.
- Manage compensation and benefits programs, including salary benchmarking, incentive plans, and health and wellness initiatives.
- Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to cultivate a supportive and diverse workplace culture.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the HR team, fostering a high-performance environment and continuous improvement.
- Partner with senior management to address organizational challenges and support change management efforts.
