This highly visible role is pivotal in advancing our risk culture, strengthening our process and control environment, and delivering the outcomes our clients expect. This role requires ability to navigate complexity, lead with clarity, and drive improvement of Invesco's process and control environment.

As the Head of EIM, you will drive the strategy, governance, and continuous improvement of our incident management framework across the firm. You will collaborate with senior leadership, business units, and risk partners to proactively identify, manage, and remediate risk events, ensuring our organization remains resilient and agile in a rapidly evolving landscape. Additionally, you will lead the Risk Events team supporting workflow management of risk events in collaboration with business areas and key stakeholders such as Enterprise Risk Management and Compliance.

Responsibilities of the Role:

Strategic Leadership

  • Lead the enterprise incident management program, continuously adjusting strategy to align with organizational shifts, business priorities, and emerging risk landscapes

  • Develop and maintain effective partnerships and collaboration with key stakeholders, including Business Area Unit Coordinators (BUIC), Enterprise Risk Management, and Compliance

  • Define and implement relevant policy, training, and supporting materials to facilitate an effective incident management program across the firm

  • Partner with Risk & Audit Intelligence team to create and deliver high-impact reporting and insights to senior leadership, BUICs, and other key stakeholders to facilitate continuous improvement of processes and controls

  • Champion a culture of continuous learning and professional growth by mentoring team members, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and implementing development programs that enhance individual capabilities and strengthen overall team performance in alignment with enterprise risk objectives.

Program Governance and Oversight

  • Deliver presentations, materials, and data in collaboration with Risk & Audit Intelligence, ERM, and business areas to appropriate risk and management committees

  • Establish, manage, and refine risk committee routines for regular review of significant incidents, issues, and remediation/preventative actions along with timely incident resolution

Data, Process and Platform Optimization

  • Provide direction and oversight to team managing day-to-day risk event process management, with emphasis on streamlining and simplifying incident management and workflows to enhance efficiency, reduce friction, and improve the user experience

  • Identify and implement initiatives to enhance data attributes, connection to processes/controls, and upgrade risk event data to facilitate increased use of risk event data to drive process optimization and prevent incident reoccurrence

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Engage with business areas across Invesco to foster proactive risk management by embedding transparency (see something, say something), learning from our mistakes, and continuous improvement in the EIM operating model.

  • Leverage data analytics and trend analysis to identify recurring themes, emerging risks, and systemic control gaps. Partner with business units to translate insights into actionable process and control improvements.

  • Champion strong partnerships with Enterprise Risk and Compliance functions to deliver expected program outcomes while driving continuous improvement, enhance connectivity to the risk taxonomy, and upgrade incident data quality with alignment to processes/controls

Requirements of the Role:

  • 15+ years of experience managing incidents, crisis management, or operational risk event programs in financial services; asset management experience highly preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or related field (Master's preferred).

  • Deep understanding of asset management, including operations and investment functions

  • Extensive experience leading enterprise-wide program rollouts, inclusive of change management, stakeholder engagement, and conflict resolution across diverse teams and geographies.

  • Experience with ServiceNow or similar GRC platform highly preferred, including workflow and data configurations and user experience management.

  • Capabilities to simplify complex workflows and improve stakeholder experience.

  • Strong analytical mindset with a passion for data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Ability to think with a control and process mindset

  • Ability to translate complex topics into easily-understood information.

  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, cross-functional, global environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools.
