POSITION OVERVIEW
Food Runner 1 oversees reading tickets that are rung into the kitchen, organizing the plates onto a gueridon or tray, checking for accuracy, and bringing them out into the appropriate dining area. Food Runner 1 is the link between the kitchen and the front of the house.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
· Plans and manages the food order flow.
· Makes sure that all the orders are delivered in a timely manner.
· Assists and manages the final preparation of different plates and dishes.
· Controls and oversees dishes before they leave the kitchen.
· Ensures adherence to all relevant quality and sanitation rules and regulations.
· Aids in end-of-shift cleaning activities.
· Serves as a contact point for the kitchen and the wait staff.
· Takes care of customers with special needs and requests.
· Executes a variety of different tasks as needed in accordance with the manager's requests and directions.
· Helps with the set-ups for big club functions and private events.
· Leadership – Maintain a positive, upbeat role, promote and exemplify Company values and represents departmental objectives and interests to internal and external customers
· Customer Service – Follow up on complaints, questions, and concerns; respond to internal/external customer needs in a friendly, timely and efficient manner
· Teamwork - Develop and promote teamwork and cooperation among co-workers
· Safety – Comply with established safe work practices and attend to all safety-related training provided or made available by the Company.
· Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience
· Minimum of (1) year experience in running food in a food and beverage environment
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· In-depth knowledge of all health and safety guidelines and regulations
· Hands-on experience with a variety of kitchen equipment tools
· Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
· Good time management skills
· Great interpersonal and communication skills
· Basic knowledge of restaurant functions and responsibilities
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to work various shifts including weekends, holidays and special events
· Ability to communicate efficiently with management and teammates using the English language
