Sr. Game Design Director

This Sr. Game Design Director role is a leadership role that will be central in defining the future of a football experience, from concept to launch - delivering engaging experiences for our players on a daily, weekly, and seasonal beat cadence. This position reports directly to our Sr. Production Director.

Please note: this role requires working on-site in Orlando, FL (3x per week) in a hybrid capacity.

Your Responsibilities:

  • You will define the vision for a football experience/live service centered around football fandom and connection to the sport.
  • You will contribute to the development of a multi-year innovative feature strategy that leads to player engagement and growth.
  • Shape the future of EA Sports' American Football Experiences by bringing new ways to play and connect to our fans.
  • Mentor and grow designers across the team.
  • Unlock the potential and productivity of all designers: coaching rather than solving; assessing people's potential and developmental needs; recognizing and supporting opportunities for learning and career growth.
  • Work closely with your Line Producer, Franchise Development Director, and Technical Director to build and execute a plan for innovative growth in existing and new experiences and live services across the game.
  • You will foster a diverse and inclusive environment that attracts talent and creates a culture where everyone can excel.
  • Set clear goals and success measures for yourself and our team.
  • Demonstrate swift and sound data-driven decision-making with a broader business context and develop others to do the same.
  • Build relationships across our broader business.

Your Qualifications:

  • A passion for interactive entertainment and creating fun and engaging experiences.
  • 10+ years of experience leading a large, game development-focused organization (Console, PC or Mobile).
  • 5+ Years leading game live services with an understanding of the relation between game content, experiences, and economies.
  • Examples of innovative, successful game experience and live service game design.
  • Direct people management experience and proven ability to lead a large design organization.
  • You have a background that reflects success in addressing challenges across product organization, business, and people spheres.
  • AAA game experience preferred.
