Saab is in search of motivated, enthusiastic engineering/science (software, electrical, math, and physics) student(s) who would be interested in putting their studies to real-work practice through a Co-op/Intern opportunity for Spring 2026.
You would be working with our System Engineers to provide products and services to assist airports and airlines operate more efficiently by leveraging the benefits of the Aerobahn product suite and collaborative decision making (CDM) solution.
Responsibilities and learning opportunities include:
- Conducting and supporting system integration in a laboratory environment and an operational environment
- Performing system and data analysis and propose solutions to customer problems
- Generating and investigating problem reports
- Participating in technical reviews and status meetings
Compensation Range:
$20-22/hr
In addition to a competitive hourly rate, Saab Inc. offers a sign-on bonus to off-set housing expenses for Co-Ops residing outside the typical office commuting distance.
The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.
Skills and Experience:
Required Skills:
- Ability to systematically evaluate data
- Some software programming experience and ability to read and understand software code
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
Desired Skills:
- Relational Database experience (SQL)
- Familiarity with Unix-based systems (Linux)
- Experience in Java, C#, and/or Python
- HTML and other web/mobile development technologies would be a plus
- Good written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications:
- Enrollment in an accredited degree program with a major in Engineering or related discipline
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better
- Must have completed Sophomore year or greater
Citizenship Requirements:
Must be a U.S. citizen. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
