PART-TIME AUDITOR

Michael Coglianese CPA, PC (MCCPA) has an opening for a PART-TIME AUDITOR. Part-time Auditors can work as little as 25 hours a week. We also provide opportunities for those interested in seasonal auditor work and only work during busy season which is September 1st through May 1st.

For over 30 years, Michael Coglianese CPA, PC is a public accounting firm that has provided accounting services to the alternative investment industry. We offer audit and assurance, tax preparation, accounting, and consulting services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

PART-TIME AUDITOR

• Perform financial audits (does NOT require physical inventories or client visits)
• Prepare and maintain accurate and well-organized work papers
• Perform engagements with minimal supervision, and demonstrate flexibility to changes in assignments
• Work effectively to manage a financial audit from the beginning to the final opinion. Our audits are small enough to be managed by one auditor. You are given prior work papers and budget hours to communicate with our client
• Demonstrates critical thinking and an interest in taking on new challenges

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

PART-TIME AUDITOR

• Accounting degree and prefer a CPA certification
• 3+ years public accounting audit experience
• Must have Financial audit experience (IT or internal audit experience will NOT meet our audit requirements)
• Interest in the alternative investment industry which includes Hedge Funds, Broker-Dealers and Cryptocurrency
• Remote work environment always
