Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Salon Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth operation at the front desk. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. As a Salon Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the overall client experience while supporting salon operations.
Duties
- Greet clients warmly and manage check-in/check-out processes efficiently.
- Handle phone calls with professionalism, including appointment scheduling and inquiries.
- Utilize POS systems for processing transactions, cash handling, and maintaining accurate sales records.
- Assist with merchandising salon products and keeping retail shelves stocked and organized.
- Maintain an organized reception area and ensure all necessary supplies are stocked.
- Provide support to stylists by rotating laundry and keeping shampoo area clean.
- Upsell services and products to clients based on their needs and preferences.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, services offered, and salon policies.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Proficient in POS systems. Familiarity with Vagaro is a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Basic knowledge of hair retail products and hair services.
- Excellent phone etiquette with the ability to manage multiple calls efficiently.
- Supervising experience is a plus for potential leadership opportunities.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
