What You'll Achieve
As a Senior Software Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and software basis the customer's business goals, needs and general business environment creating software solutions.
You will:
- Design and lead the effort on automation, CI/CD processes and tools to make our services simpler and more robust
- Mentor team members in design collaboration, code reviews, development tools and processes
- Take part in the full software development life cycle including development, test, continuous delivery and support
- Be an active member of an agile team, collaboratively realizing features through development, test and delivery

Essential Requirements
- 13+ years of software development experience with one or more of the following programming languages: C, Shell/Perl/Python scripting
- Strong debugging skills in system software (Filesystem)
- Proficiency in hardware, software and/or operating systems environments with strong Unix/Linux knowledge
- Ability to triage, root cause and if possible fix issues found by QA in our internal testing
- Effective collaboration skills to work with QA for getting releases with quality out to our customers on time
Desirable Requirements
- Experience in logging/resolving defect issues using a tracking system (like Bugzilla) and source control like SVN preferable
- Previous work experience in a distributed-team environment using Agile methodologies
Compensation
Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $240,000 - $310,000.
