The Opportunity

As a Junior Designer at Detroit City FC, you will play a crucial role in shaping the club's visual identity across various platforms. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute your creative talents to a growing sports organization, engaging our passionate supporters and amplifying our brand within the community and beyond. You will conceptualize, produce, and deliver visually appealing graphics that resonate with our unique culture and mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and produce high-quality graphics for social media, digital advertisements, promotional materials, and other visual assets.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing and media teams to develop engaging visual narratives that enhance the club's brand and fan engagement.
  • Develop and execute innovative design concepts from ideation through to final delivery, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines.
  • Assist in maintaining and evolving Detroit City FC's brand standards and style across all visual communications.
  • Participate actively in brainstorming and creative planning sessions for content and campaigns.
  • Support the organization and maintenance of digital asset libraries, ensuring easy access to logos, templates, and brand materials.
  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 2+ years of professional experience in graphic design, preferably within the sports, entertainment, or agency sectors.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or equivalent practical experience.
  • A portfolio demonstrating strong visual storytelling skills and a keen eye for layout, typography, and design.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and best practices for creating engaging visual content.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
  • A genuine interest in soccer or fan culture, with an understanding of how to translate passion into visually impactful designs.
  • Experience working with design templates and managing asset libraries is a plus.
  • This role requires a valid driver's license

Work Environment

This job operates primarily in an office environment. This role routinely utilizes standard office equipment, including computers and phones.
