MS/Tele/Peds RN – Travel Contract – Devils Lake, ND

Are you a versatile RN with experience across MedSurg, Telemetry, and Pediatrics? We're hiring for a MS/Tele/Peds RN for a 13-week travel contract in Devils Lake, ND, starting October 27, 2025. This is a night shift role with 36 guaranteed hours per week, offering a unique opportunity to care for patients across all age groups in a Critical Access Hospital setting.

This 25-bed unit blends MedSurg, Telemetry, and Pediatric care, serving patients from pediatrics to geriatrics. You'll manage a wide range of diagnoses—from respiratory and infectious conditions to post-op rehab and social admits. With no ICU onsite, the unit occasionally handles ICU-level acuity within scope, supported by a nursing coordinator and house supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver care to a diverse patient population across MedSurg, Tele, and Peds
  • Titrate and manage drips including Insulin, Lasix, Cardizem, Heparin, Aminophylline, Magnesium, Potassium, Albumin, and blood products
  • Read and interpret telemetry strips independently
  • Collaborate with CNAs (1:12 ratio), RTs, and house supervisors
  • Float to other departments as needed within scope
  • Document accurately using Meditech EMR

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in MedSurg, Telemetry, and Pediatrics
  • Active RN license (submittable)
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN not required)

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Proficient in telemetry interpretation
  • Comfortable with respiratory equipment including Bipap, Vent, Glidescope, and high-flow oxygen systems
  • Strong clinical judgment and adaptability across age groups
  • Able to manage rotating weekends and holiday shifts
