Back of House Associate / Manager

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Back of House (BOH) professional to support the smooth operation of our business. This role is critical to ensuring efficiency, compliance, and accuracy in behind-the-scenes functions that enable our front-line teams to deliver excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain operational systems, processes, and records.
  • Handle inventory, supplies, and vendor coordination.
  • Support compliance, administrative, and financial tasks as assigned.
  • Ensure work areas, equipment, and systems are organized and functional.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless workflow.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational or logistical challenges.
  • Uphold company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in operations, administration, or logistics (industry-specific preferred).
  • Proficiency with [industry-relevant tools/software].

Preferred Experience (industry-specific examples):

  • Hospitality/Restaurant: Kitchen operations, food safety standards, stock management.
  • Corporate/Finance: Compliance support, document management, back-office operations.
  • Retail: Inventory control, vendor coordination, shipping/receiving.

Primary task:

  • Prepare food items with precision and consistency according to house recipes
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen workspace
  • Ensure food safety and proper storage of ingredients
  • Assist with dishwashing, prep, line cooking, and closing duties as needed
  • Follow directions from kitchen leadership and work as part of a tight-knit team
  • Take ownership of quality and efficiency during service

Ideal candidates:

  • Prior experience in a commercial kitchen or food prep role preferred
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Ability to stay cool under pressure and during peak service
  • Team-player mentality—willing to help wherever needed
  • Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Lift up to 40 lbs
  • Move quickly and safely in a kitchen setting (bending, lifting, reaching)
