Through effective leadership, service, and performance, Primeritus Financial Services offers the trifecta of repossession services: locate, recover, and remarket.

Associate Accountant

This position is responsible for performing accounting functions (cash app and AR/AP) by providing quality service to clients and vendors through accurate financial information. Assist with the interpretation, revision, and implementation of accounting procedures along with analyzing and resolving accounting procedural issues. Will properly manage accounting functions in accordance with corporate accounting practices and generally accepted accounting principles. This is a hybrid role, working from our Nashville, TN office.

  • Review, approve, and process AR transactions including incoming checks, ACH, or wire transfers; analyzes and resolves any AR issues as needed.

  • Reconciles cash/bank and other general ledger accounts with various ledgers and supporting documents and performs other month-end closing responsibilities.

  • Assists with maintaining schedules and reconciliations of various AP/AR accounts.

  • Continually search for improved methods of tracking, controlling and reporting financial information

  • Collaborates with the accounting team in preparation of annual audits.

  • Manage special projects as requested by Senior Management.

  • Perform other duties as directed by Manager.

Job Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.

  • 2-3 years of hands-on accounting experience, utilizing NetSuite preferred.

  • Proficient in MS Office suite; Advanced Excel skills (pivots, lookups, macros)

  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task in a fast paced and deadline driven environment.

  • Strong technical and analytical skills

  • Knowledge of / experience with state and federal rules and regulations pertaining to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA), and the Gramm-Leach – Bliley Act (GLBA) preferred.

Employees will be hybrid role, working from our Nashville, TN office. The position is sedentary and requires sitting for long periods of time while working on a computer or using other office equipment. The employee must occasionally lift or move items up to 30+ pounds.
