Preschool Discovery Teacher

Ivybrook Academy is currently seeking a passionate Discovery Classroom Teacher for our new Pinnacle Hills campus. This is a fun position that teaches the following: Music, Movement, Creative Expression, Author Studies and Spanish. Our schools provide a professional environment where educators can focus their time on igniting the joy of learning in their students. We are seeking passionate educators committed to progressive quality education.

This will be a part-time position (8:00am-12:30 pm) for the school year, but will scale to a full-time position as enrollment grows. During the summer months, we offer 6 weeks of Summer Camp Programs with paid vacation.

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement daily lessons for the children following a progressive approach to education
• Observe and evaluate each child's progress
• Work cooperatively and professionally with staff members and parents
• Maintain communication with parents
• Be available for parent conferences
• Attend staff meetings, training and school functions
• Be available to assist in other classrooms as needed
• Maintain portfolio assessments for all children in the classroom
• Commit to continuing education
• Provide unparalleled customer service

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience at a public, private or licensed school is preferred.
• Ability to effectively manage a classroom and maintain order
• Proficient in behavior management techniques to promote positive student behavior
