Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking an experienced and highly skilled senior Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in signal processing and practical experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing DSP algorithms for various applications. As a DSP Engineer, you will work on cutting-edge projects that involve the development of innovative solutions for processing and analyzing digital signals in real-time.

Essential Functions:

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced DSP algorithms for various applications, including audio and data communications processing.
• Optimize DSP algorithms for performance, power consumption, and memory usage on various hardware platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and system architects, to integrate DSP solutions into products.
• Conduct simulations and performance analysis to validate and refine DSP algorithms.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in DSP technology and apply new techniques and methodologies to improve existing solutions.
• Contribute to the strategic direction of DSP solutions and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
• Ability to Obtain a US Security Clearance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience in DSP Software Engineering.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded systems design.
• Development experience with the Linux OS
• Proficiency with C, C++
• Proficiency with multi-threaded, multi-core design and/or real-time operating systems
• Experience with object-oriented design
• Understanding of Design, Implementation and Testing of large software systems
• Experience with software emulators/debuggers
• Experience with Git/Bitbucket, JIRA
• Experience with Agile methodology
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment; good interpersonal and communication skills
• Creativity in problem solving.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York State is $93,500 - $173,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
