Looking for 2 PRN, Part-time, or possibly Full-time (for the correct candidate) certified surgical tech.
Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist plays a crucial role in the operating room, providing essential support to surgeons and other medical staff during surgical procedures. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who is adept at maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring that all necessary instruments and supplies are available for surgeries. The Surgical Technologist will work in various settings, including Level I and II Trauma Centers, as well as ambulatory surgery centers, contributing to high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room by ensuring all surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies are sterile and ready for use.
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and anticipating their needs.
- Maintain aseptic technique throughout the surgical process to prevent infection.
- Monitor patient vitals and assist with data collection before, during, and after surgery.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow and patient safety.
- Conduct thorough cleaning and sterilization of instruments post-surgery.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines in an acute care environment.
- Stay informed about medical terminology relevant to surgical procedures and patient care.
Skills
- Proficiency in aseptic technique and infection control practices.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to surgical procedures.
- Experience or familiarity with acute care settings, including ICU environments.
- Ability to perform data collection accurately during patient care activities.
- Understanding of the dynamics within a Level I or Level II Trauma Center.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare professionals.
- Capability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations while maintaining attention to detail.

Hourly rate is based on experience and certification.
