Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Process Technician - Injection Mold to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastics manufacturing, specifically in injection molding processes. This role involves overseeing production operations, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining equipment for optimal performance. The Process Technician will work closely with engineers and production staff to implement lean manufacturing practices and improve overall efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor injection molding machines to ensure proper functioning and product quality.
  • Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the injection molding process.
  • Set up and adjust machinery for various production runs, including programming programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Maintain accurate records of production data and quality inspections.
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing team to implement lean manufacturing principles.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including CNC lathes, press brake machines, and other machinery.
  • Utilize hand tools for assembly and fabrication tasks as needed.
  • Handle materials safely within the warehouse environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in plastics injection molding or related manufacturing processes.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in machining and fabrication.
  • Familiarity with quality inspection techniques and standards.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other materials handling equipment.
  • Experience with plastics blow molding, extrusion, and assembly processes is a plus.
  • Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions accurately.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices to enhance productivity.
  • Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
