Job Summary:

The Client seeking an experienced Curam Reports Developer to design, develop, and maintain reporting solutions that support Medicaid Projects. The selected candidate will play a key role in developing and enhancing reporting solutions within the IBM Curam Framework, utilizing Oracle PL/SQL, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Power BI to deliver accurate and meaningful insights for business and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Curam reports and data models to support NC FAST Medicaid reporting needs.
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver new and updated reports.
  • Develop and optimize complex Oracle PL/SQL queries, procedures, and functions for data extraction and transformation.
  • Build and manage data warehouses and semantic models to support reporting and analytics.
  • Utilize Azure Synapse Analytics components (SQL Pools, Spark Pools, Pipelines) to design and implement scalable data solutions.
  • Create and manage ETL workflows using tools like Oracle Warehouse Builder (OWB) or Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
  • Develop and enhance dashboards and visualizations using Power BI.
  • Leverage Python, PySpark, and SparkSQL for data transformation and analytics on Azure.
  • Mentor junior developers on data integration, ETL design patterns, and error handling best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve reporting issues and defects from the backlog.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in programming and designing large-scale, web-based distributed systems.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL development.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases (tables, views, indexes, users, grants, etc.).
  • Proven experience in data warehouse design, development, and management.
  • Experience with ETL tools such as Oracle Warehouse Builder (OWB) or Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
  • Strong SQL scripting and relational data modeling skills.
  • Experience with structured system development methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and manage multiple priorities independently.

Highly Desired Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience with Business Intelligence tools such as BIRT or Business Objects.
  • 2+ years of Data Warehouse experience.
  • 4+ years of experience with the IBM Curam product framework.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure Synapse Analytics, including SQL Pools, Spark Pools, and Pipelines.
  • Experience in building analytics solutions with Azure Synapse Serverless SQL Pools.
  • Experience developing Power BI dashboards and visual reports.
  • 1–2 years of experience using Python, PySpark, and SparkSQL on Azure Cloud.
