Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking Sr Principal DevOps Engineer – This position will be located in Belleview, NE, Roy, UT, or Huntsville, ALand will support the Sentinel program.
Basic Qualifications
- 8 Years with Bachelors in relevant field of study; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD; or in lieu of degree, and additional 4 years of related experience.
- Must be a US Citizen and have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
- IAT Level II certification (e.g. Security+ CE) or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- At least 5 years of experience with build tools and package managers such as CMake, Make, npm, Maven, pip, dnf, NuGet, Gradle or MSBuild.
- At least 5 years of experience building software in C, C++, C#, Golang, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Python or similar language.
- At least 2 years of experience developing and implementing CI/CD Pipelines.
- At least 2 years of experience using Linux (RHEL preferred) and Microsoft operating systems.
- At least 2 years of experience with Static Application Security Testing tools such as Fortify, Coverity, CodeSonar or SonarQube.
- At least 1 year of experience with container technologies such as podman, docker or kubernetes.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
- Strong critical thinking and logical reasoning skills with the ability to solve issues.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
- Experience working as a software engineer and system administrator.
- Experience with the DoD DevSecOps Reference Architecture.
- Experience developing software using Golang.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell or Bash.
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet or Chef.
Primary Level Salary Range: $118, $178,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
